Hiring LaPorte made our move from Pitt Meadows to Vancouver Island seemless! LaPorte were professional right from the start when I first contacted them regarding our move. Jesse came to our house and did a walk-through to ensure that he could provide an accurate quote. He also gave us options for moving some items on our own to lower the cost so that we only needed 1 truck on the ferry. Out of the 3 companies that we got quotes from, LaPorte was the only company that provided flexible options. They were also the only company that uses 7 ton trucks assuring that we only needed one for our belongings. Again, keeping ferry costs down. On loading day, the moving team was Camren, Chance, Jimmy, and Sammy. The movers were friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable and efficient. They made sure to protect the floors in our old house and used great care with our belongings and house. They took apart all the beds and tables and used what seemed like hundreds of blankets to protect our furniture. They also wrapped and protected all of our art and provided wardrobes and packed our clothes from the closets for us. On unloading day, the moving team was Chance and Sammy. The second day went just as smoothly as the first day. Our belongings arrived without incident or issue. The beds and tables were all put back together with care and attention to detail. It was a pleasant surprise to find out at the end that our bill was significantly less as we had less weight due to moving the easy items ourselves. We were thoroughly impressed with the moving crew on both days and they certainly know the meaning of service. We highly recommend LaPorte and would hire them again without question. CEM and team delivered our furniture from storage in Richmond to Vancouver Island. On time. All stored goods were in excellent condition. Laporte stored our home for just over a year. Very happy with all aspects of the service. Well done Laporte.

We recently used LaPorte for two moves and I would certainly use them again. Their estimates were right on target. On the move days they were on time. All their staff were courteous and eager to help us move things around. My only negative comment is some of the labeling of the boxes could have been better. There were a few boxes where the contents didn’t match what was on the box and a couple that weren’t marked at all. But overall a very good move. I’d give them a 9.5 out of 10.

Tyler, and Tyson were such an awesome team! They were friendly, professional! They were so patient with us, while we may have taken trips down memory lane while we moved our lives from the Delta to Falkland. Thank you both!

We moved long distance from BC to AB and we were very impressed and thankful. Sam, Dan and Chance did an outstanding job. They were right on time in the morning, very carefully wrapped all our furniture and everything was loaded in 3 hours. The tag on all items helped to account for every single one at the destination where James and team unloaded and brought to the rooms where labels were assigned. Very satisfied and pleased with the stress free process. Will use Laporte again with no hesitation.
