Further to our conversation about the missing shirts I also wanted to make mention of the outstanding service we had.

Chad and his crew (Michael and Darrell???, not sure on names) were excellent. They right away eased our stress levels by showing how much they were on top of things. They were friendly, courteous, patient and understanding of our needs. They seemed to really enjoy what they were doing, often humming a song or whistling, and it made a big difference in creating such a positive atmosphere during a move that is never fun for the family involved.

When we had unusual or picky requests they always had the attitude that they will make it happen and were always checking with us if there was anything else we could do. Once at our newly renovated house they were extremely careful and respectful of where to put things and being careful around our floors and walls.

I would recommend this crew and your company solely based on how great of a job we thought Chad and his crew did. A big thanks to them for helping our moving day go so smoothly.

32 years. Some moves were local and some were overseas. I have NEVER experienced such ease and pleasure. Even though any move may naturally cause some anxieties and tensions, it is so much easier when the packers and the movers are performing their duties 100%. Both my husband and I were so completely satisfied. Hopefully, we shall not need your services again. (We surely hope that this was our very last move in this life time. Laughsss).

Just want to say how happy I was with the crew that did my move on Saturday January 26th.  Omar, Sebastian and Carlos were just amazing.  I have moved a lot in the past and have always used professional movers but none have been more accomidating and willing to go the extra mile.
They were always smiling, laughing and calm, as we all know, moving can be very stressful and there are always some kind of glitches to be dealt with.

Our successful candidate will have a good communication style, easy-going personality and can take instructions away while working with little supervision.  It is a physical job and will require you to work both indoors and outdoors in varying climates.  This is a seasonal industry but with our diversified business we will stay consistently busy through the winter.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Moving packed boxes, furniture and other personal effects between the home and the truck.
• Carefully load and unload packed boxes, furniture, and other personal effects on /from the truck.
• Assisting in the loading and unloading of the moving truck as directed by the lead Driver.
• Disassembling and reassembling furniture at pick-up and delivery points as required.

We are looking for the following experience and qualifications:

• Proven experience in a similar moving position; minimum 1-year experience preferred
• Ability to lift, carry, and unload heavy objects in a safe and ergonomic manner
• Candidates able to pass a criminal record check will receive priority

Moving Experts Committed To Quality

Vancouver, B.C.  LaPorte Moving & Storage is proud to announce two achievements from the Atlas Canada Awards this 2012 season. The two categories chosen from Atlas Canada were Quality Moving Consultant Awards and the Professional Van Operator Awards.

Becky Matthews, a 15 year veteran and dedicated sales representative for LaPorte Moving & Storage, was given the 2012 National Quality Award. Matthews achieved the number three spot nationally for Quality Moving Consultant. The criteria for these awards are based on statistical information up to June 30, 2012, professional moving consultant rating systems, questionnaires, estimate accuracy, and operational and document compliance. Awards are given to the top four sales representatives both nationally and regionally.

The official presentation for the National award recipients takes place at the 2012 Convention in Edmonton, Alberta. National award recipients will receive a $1,500.00 Atlas Travel credit certificate along with a plaque acknowledging their accomplishment and a personal congratulatory letter.

Receiving the second LaPorte’s award from Atlas Canada was van operator, Chuck Williamson. Williamson, in his 11^th year at LaPorte Moving & Storage, achieved the 2012 Professional Van Operator Award for Supplemental Fleet in Regional British Columbia. Professional van operators are chosen based on customer questionnaire ratings, cost per hundredweight and superior customer service among others.
